User Agreement

1. The term "League" shall mean Droppin the Hammer Gaming League. The terms "I", "me", "mine", "applicant" or "gamer" shall mean the applicant named hereon.

2. I understand that my membership may be terminated at anytime, without recourse, for cause. "For Cause" means, but is not limited to, non-payment of fees, violation of tournament rules imposed from time-to-time by the League, provision of false or misleading information to the League via this application or otherwise, cheating or other dishonest conduct (including "glitching" – e.g., the use or exploitation of flaws or glitches in any game which produces a result not intended by the game designers), attending or participating in League tournaments or functions under the influence of alcohol or any controlled substance, harassment, racial slurs, obscene language or gestures, invasion of someone's privacy, or threatening behavior of any nature.

3. I understand, acknowledge and expressly agree that the tournaments offered and conducted by the League, and which I choose to enter, are games of skill, the outcome of which are solely dependent upon my and the other participants' comparative levels of practice, inherent ability, hand-to-eye coordination, knowledge of rules and techniques, inate and developed playing skills, and are not games of chance, luck or random outcome.

4. I understand and agree to pay the sum of $9.99 per month as my non-refundable membership fee in the League in order to be eligible to play in League tournaments, whether or not I choose to enter any tournaments in a given month during which my membership is active. I understand and agree that the League may, from time-to-time elect to reschedule or cancel a tournament.

5. By my signature hereon I acknowledge that I am applying for membership in the League, and that my membership may be accepted or rejected at the sole discretion of the League, with or without cause. I further certify, represent and promise that I am, in all respects, an amateur gamer who is not employed in design, development, publication, testing or other professional capacity in connection with the X-Box, Play Station or other computer-based games which are the subject of League tournaments. I fully release, hold harmless and indemnify the League and its principals from any and all claims for liability and damages arising in any way whatsoever from my attendance at, and / or participation in, any and all League functions, tournaments and activities, whether such claim arises from the negligence of the League or from the negligence or intentional conduct of any other participant or third-party.
