Weaver and Suddeth claim Big Shot prizes as Big 3 fires off at Patriot
There was no threat of inclement weather this time around as the only thing that was certain was scorching hot temperatures at Patriot Speedway for drivers and fans. Specialized six shooter trophies were to be awarded to specific classes on Big Shot Day for the Big 3 Series. Great fields spread across 23 main events as across all the finishing orders 277 entries were counted. The largest field of the day went to the Amateur class with 23 karts and Wes Suddeth would best them all for the win. Suddeth would also claim the Pro Amateur win and the Special Six Shooter trophy for the class. He would have to survive an almost 40 minute marathon main to capture the prize for the Pro Am race. Other double winners would include Jason Moates who would dominate the champ classes for both Senior Champ and Pro Champ wins. Tommy Jernigan proved to be the man of the hour for two Predator classes by winning Predator 375 edging Lance Tomberlin by a tenth of a second. Jernigan also captured Pro Predator and kept the 111 strong. One other double feature winner was the 41 of Tyler Weaver who took home Stock Heavy and Pro Stock which had the second Big Shot special prize attached. The Big 3 Series will be back in action next time at Foothills Raceway in Dacusville, SC on July 20.
