September 4, 2019-Gaffney, South Carolina
Many racers have come and gone through the gates at various tracks across the Upstate of South Carolina but there is only one Flinstone Flyer. Mike Duvall from Cowpens won numerous races at Cherokee, Laurens, and a win that turned heads at Eldora Speedway in the 1982 World 100. Duvall worked his magic at many a racetrack and now there is a permanent event that will ensure and extend the Duvall name continues to be one synonymous with racing. The Inaugural Mike Duvall Memorial will take place October 4th and 5th at Cherokee Speedway with the exciting and competitive World of Outlaws Late Model Series in attendance on Friday. This the first time ever in the series’ history that the World of Outlaws will make two stops at Cherokee since they started coming in 2017. The special announcement took place at the Cherokee County History and Arts Museum in Gaffney. Special trophies and champion belts will be given to the winners for this extremely special event.
