Joseph Mintz, Brad Scruggs pull hat tricks, Caden Kelly doubles in Junior

On the Championship Day for the Big 3, several drivers celebrated a successful season with the Big 3 by showing out at Foothills Raceway. It would be an understatement to say that eventual champions had a good day as Joseph Mintz in the 145 pulled off one of the hat tricks on the day by winning Stock Medium, Stock Heavy, and Pro Stock. Mintz also locked up the Championship in Stock Medium and Heavy. Brad Scruggs had the second hat trick and also locked up championships in Super Heavy 410 and 425. Tyler Bowie had already secured the Junior 2 championship at SugarTit, but he decided to celebrate by winning the Junior 2 main at Foothills. One Foothills regular that claimed a win was Eron Bryant as the mohawk man gained the upper advantage by holding off David Alewine by .050 seconds at the line for a Big 3 win. Brayson Riddle and Kayden Presnell who have been trading wins back and forth also claimed wins but Caden Kelly swept through the Junior 3 and Pro Junior 3 to claim both of those. A special tribute was held before the 425 main to remember Jeremy Tumblin who lost his battle with cancer. He had several close friends throughout the Big 3 Series as the 4 wide salute in his memory showed that he will be remembered always. This wraps up the season for the Big 3 Series. The dates for the Championship Banquet will be announced at a later date.
