Live show from SugarTit this Saturday
It may be November but if you are looking for a blockbuster event with an incredible cause, then you have found it. This Saturday, November 16th, will feature a test of endurance with some of the best kart racers to hop in the seat. The Ironman 200 and Southeast Predator Championship will be the feature events in the Race for a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Race at SugarTit Speedway located in Reidville, South Carolina. This race will feature 200 laps as part of the Ironman contest with $1000 on the line to go along with a custom check and special made trophy. Past winners include names like Shaun Pittman, Joseph Mintz, Lee Higdon, Brandon Henson, Jason Scruggs, Luke Clements, and Devon Morgan. Over the years and despite the names that have captured this win, there has never been a repeat winner in the history of the Ironman 200. Because of this, track promoter Goob Waddell has offered up an extra $100 to the purse if a previous winning driver can get that elusive repeat win. Also occuring will be the Southeast Predator Championship with past winners such as Vince Poteet, BJ Gillespie, Jason Moates, Brandon Harris, and 6 races in a row Predator class winner at Foothills, Dustin Lightening Roddy. They will compete for $200 to win and a full set of EL tires. Below is a complete list of what is on the line for this Saturday.
To add to this great event, the race for a cure this year to help those affected by cancer will be for Jeff Wilson and the Bracken family.
Droppin’ the Hammer will be LIVE as well pre-race beginning around 9:30 a.m. to get you set for the event and be providing coverage throughout the day. We will have all the news and notes for you to catch up with after the conclusion of the day.
So be sure to come show your support this Saturday at SugarTit Speedway, just minutes away from I-85 between Greenville and Spartanburg. Gates open at 9 a.m. The cold won’t bother you.
