Riddle, McDonald, and Cochcroft all claim doubles as series reaches halfway point at the Anchor
It was another frigid Sunday in Cross Anchor but as proven, cold doesn’t stop kart racers. With the most recent race entry reaching 191, the colder it is the more people want to race.
BJ Cochcroft had one of the fastest karts back on February 9th getting wins in SPG 350 and Out of the Box 350. His win in SPG 350 helped close the points gap between himself and Dustin Roddy who currently leads to just 5 points.
Brayson Riddle found victory lane once again twice in fact with the Junior classes with Junior 1 and 2. Finishing second in both as well was Jayden Stone who challening Riddle late in Junior 2 but came up just short. Cameron Lambert, who finished fourth in Junior 1, is currently in control of the points but only 15 over Holden Melton who finished a spot behind him in fifth.
As for Junior 2, Lambert is currently tied with RJ Reese with 560 points. Reese finished two spots behind Lambert in 6th in the last Junior 2 outing on the 9th.
Justin McDonald ran for two wins wins as well in Clone 375 and Flathead. He came up .090 seconds short of a hat trick as Kyle Heitz made a power move going into Turn 3 on the last lap of the Clone 350 Main Event. This was almost a mirror image of the same move McDonald pulled on Heitz in the same corner to win Clone 350 back in November during the Jake Lawson Memorial.

Other great points battles include Clone 450. Despite winning two out of three so far, “The Dark Horse” Dale Timms holds only a 5 point advantage over Joey Toney. Wing Kart Green Plate also features a great battle between Waylon Pangle and Jayden Stone. Pangle has a two race winning streak that enabled him to grab the lead away from Stone but only by 5 points. Clone 425 has three driver separated by 10 points with Josh Hodge leading over an extremely consistent Dustin Taylor and third place Dale Timms trying to rebound after winning the Series Opener in the class. Out of the Box 375 finds Drew Curtis, after winning the first two mains, only holding a ten point advantage over Kevin Wilburn who has settled into a nice rhythm but still looking for a win in OTB 375. Also in Wing Kart Unrestricted, Landon Sartain has used his two race win streak to secure a 10 point lead over Gavin Smith. Smith though has not finished worse than third through the three races.
